  • Authentication Information: When you sign in through Google Sign-In or register an account, we collect your name, email address, profile picture URL, and unique authentication identifier provided by Google OAuth.
  • Player Profile & Gameplay Stats: Your chosen in-game display name, country flag preference, rank, ELO rating, matchmaking records, win/loss history, and preferences.
  • Communication Data: Inquiries, feedback, or support tickets submitted when reaching out to our support team.

b. Information Collected Automatically

  • Device & Diagnostics Data: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, language settings, and crash logs to resolve bugs and performance bottlenecks.
  • Network & Gameplay Telemetry: IP address, network ping, matchmaking connection duration, game board moves, timestamps, and disconnection statuses to ensure competitive fair-play and prevent cheating.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the data we collect solely for legitimate and service-related purposes, including:

  • Operating and maintaining the real-time multiplayer board game engine and WebSocket servers.
  • Authenticating your identity and synchronizing your player rating and game history across devices.
  • Pairing you with evenly matched competitors through our ELO rating matchmaking algorithm.
  • Detecting, investigating, and preventing cheating, unauthorized modifications, botting, and abuse.
  • Troubleshooting latency spikes, socket disconnections, and server performance errors.
  • Fulfilling legal and regulatory requirements.

  • All network communications between the mobile application, backend API, and real-time Socket.IO servers are encrypted in transit using Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS).
  • Access to production databases is strictly restricted to authorized server instances protected by firewalls and strict access controls.
  • Authentication tokens are securely stored on your device using Android EncryptedSharedPreferences / KeyStore.

6. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with the game services, maintain leaderboard rankings, and comply with our legal obligations.

You have the absolute right to request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time. We have established a dedicated, transparent deletion process.

7. Children's Privacy

Checkers World does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Union).
