1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Checkers World (the "Application" or "Service"), published by Glila ("we", "our", or "us"). By downloading, installing, accessing, or playing Checkers World, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must immediately cease using the Application and uninstall it from your devices.

2. Eligibility & Player Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (or the legal age required in your country of residence) to register an account or use Checkers World.

  • Account Creation: You may register an account using email or federated authentication (such as Google Sign-In). You agree to provide accurate information and maintain the security of your authentication credentials.
  • Single Account Policy: Each player is permitted to maintain one active competitive profile. Creating multiple accounts to manipulate matchmaking, exploit coin rewards, or boost ELO ratings is strictly prohibited.
  • Account Responsibility: You are solely responsible for all activities and gameplay conducted through your registered account.

3. License & Intellectual Property Rights

Subject to your continuous compliance with these Terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, personal license to download, install, and run Checkers World on authorized mobile devices for non-commercial personal entertainment.

All copyrights, trademarks, game logic, artwork, sound effects, audio compositions, server software, and visual designs in Checkers World are the exclusive intellectual property of Glila and protected by international intellectual property laws. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works based on any part of the Application.

4. Virtual Currency & In-Game Economy

Checkers World includes an in-game virtual economy featuring virtual coins, experience points (XP), competitive ELO ratings, and division tiers.

  • Virtual Entertainment Only: Virtual coins and rewards have no monetary value in the real world and cannot be exchanged, redeemed, transferred, or refunded for real currency, goods, or financial compensation of any kind.
  • Wagers & Stakes: In competitive match lobbies, players may stake virtual coins on game outcomes. These stakes are solely for in-game progression and entertainment within the game environment. Checkers World does not facilitate real-money gambling.
  • Economy Adjustments: We reserve the right to manage, regulate, control, modify, or eliminate virtual currency, win bonuses, and reward multipliers at our sole discretion.

5. Fair Play & Prohibited Conduct

Fair competition is the foundational pillar of Checkers World. You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited behaviors:

  • Cheating & Automation: Using third-party software, checkers/dama solver engines, bots, auto-clickers, memory modifiers, or unauthorized tools to calculate moves or automate gameplay.
  • Match Manipulation: Colluding with opponents, deliberately forfeiting or stalling ("sandbagging") to manipulate ELO rating brackets or transfer in-game coins.
  • Network Exploitation: Interfering with, intercepting, altering, or overloading game servers, WebSocket connections, or APIs through denial-of-service (DoS) attacks or automated scrapers.
  • Abusive Conduct: Using offensive, hateful, defamatory, or harassing language in player usernames, room codes, or social interactions.
Strict Anti-Cheat & Fair Play Enforcement

Violations of our Fair Play guidelines will result in immediate penalties, including rating forfeiture, temporary matchmaking cooldowns, or permanent account bans.

6. Real-Time Online Play & Match Clocks

Online multiplayer matches are governed by authoritative server-side turn clocks (default 20 seconds per move) and standard international checkers/dama rules:

  • Authoritative State: The game server is authoritative on all board states, valid capture sequences, turn transitions, and match conclusions.
  • Disconnections & Timeouts: If a player disconnects or fails to submit a legal move within the allotted turn timer, the turn automatically expires and may forfeit the match according to the active game mode rules.
  • Mandatory Captures: Checkers rules enforce mandatory jumps. If a capture is available, the engine requires that capture to be executed.

7. Account Suspension & Termination

We reserve the right to suspend, reset, or permanently terminate your account without prior notice if we determine that you have violated these Terms, engaged in cheating or abuse, or harmed the integrity of the platform.

8. Service Availability & Updates

We strive to provide uninterrupted service, but we do not guarantee continuous, bug-free, or error-free availability of Checkers World. We may update, patch, modify, or temporarily suspend server access for scheduled maintenance or performance upgrades at any time.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

CHECKERS WORLD IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GLILA DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL GLILA BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APPLICATION, INCLUDING LOSS OF VIRTUAL COINS, RATINGS, OR GAME DATA.
